Visual Studio Code is a beautiful and powerful editor with amazing add-ons.

Integrated Development Environments 

Microsoft Visual Studio is an amazing IDE with the ability to develop for multiple platforms.
Xcode is Apple's IDE for Apple operating systems. If you are looking into IOS development I advise making use of Xcode.

Git Services

GitHub is an extremely reliable git service. GitHub also develops the Atom code editor.
